Gray Architecture was established in 2021.
Chris Gray is an ARB and RIBA Chartered Architect with over 15 years of professional knowledge, exemplary design experience and technical ability.

As a UK-registered ARB and RIBA Chartered architect, Chris helps guide his clients through the often vast landscape of design, planning applications, and construction.  Current projects are located throughout Gloucestershire, Herefordshire & The Cotswolds.

The small set-up allows Chris to dedicate complete attention to serving his clients and providing the best value possible. Chris specialises in residential architecture and design, although his expereience also spans the educational, hospitality and commercial sectors.  

Gray Architecture offers a high quality design and project management service covering various domestic project types, from contemporary extensions; heritage restorations to new build houses. 

Refined and considered architectural design and craftsmanship are at the core of the work, from the first concept sketch to completion. But successful projects also require a collaborative partnership between the client and architect. Gray Architecture is committed to working with you at every stage of the project to ensure your project aspirations are realised and delivered.

My architectural background

Before establishing Gray Architecture, Chris practised across various bespoke and boutique architectural sectors and has held several associate and senior-level positions at several leading design studios and award-winning practices throughout London and the UK. With over a decade of experience as a registered UK Architect, Chris has extensive design and project delivery experience working for a range of homeowners and high-profile Clients.

Previous work includes projects in private sector education, contemporary ecclesiastic, hospitality, and commercial projects, and has invovled developing sustainable buildings, managing demanding time frames, budgets and cost control measures.

Primarily, Chris has a passion for residential architecture and how we choose to design and craft our homes. He has considerable experience working with clients on high-end residential and homeowner refurbishment projects. These have included complex Listed Building alterations, basements and extensions, and new build schemes, often sited in sensitive settings within Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Greenbelt or Conservation Areas.
